The Palace and Your Company's Year End Party

December is the month to celebrate most companies throw Year-End Parties to their employees to show their appreciation to their employees effort all year round. However, the cost of hosting a year-end party is justified is cause for much debate in corporate circles.  Recently two of the top performing BPO companies celebrated their year-end party at The Palace that is Teleperformance last November 29, 2015 with one of my favorite DJ in town DJ Soulful Jigs "Dennis Garra" (I will make a seperate article about his performance that night) and C3 December 6, 2015.
Many companies have chosen to cut back on year-end functions yet they remain a great way to strengthen ties with existing employees, emphasize and showcase company culture and celebrate the accomplishments of your team.  We’ve worked with many corporate event clients who tell us that they receive tremendous payback from their year-end functions. They would tell you there are three great reasons to throw a company year-end party:
YOUR TEAM HAS EARNED IT. Especially in challenging economic times, your team deserves to be rewarded for reaching your company’s and their department’s goals, working together and with vendors and other partners to move the needle. Every company does not exist without its employees.  Give your team a chance to let their hair down and get to know each other without the pressure of deadlines and budget wars.  Playing together offers your team a great way to highlight personality and sense of humor.  Stopping business, hosting a year-end party and thanking your team is a simple but important gesture that will go a long way to visibly communicate in a fun and entertaining way “THANK YOU!  We can’t do it without you”. Get creative. Create a theme for this year’s event which ties to a major milestone you accomplished together. Infuse it in the décor, in the games, in the awards. Give them a branded tchotchke which reminds them of the milestone as a takeaway gift when they leave. By professionalizing your year-end event, you emphasize your company’s values and attention to quality and detail which sets the standard in your industry. And after all, isn’t that why they chose your company to work for in the first place?

PAY IT FORWARD. Year end functions which “give back” to your team can also be a great way to get them fired up and excited about the upcoming sales season. When everyone is socializing and being rewarded (and awarded) is the perfect time to lay the groundwork for the work ahead in a lighthearted way. Add a competition into your event focused on an upcoming goal, tell them the awards you’ll be giving out at NEXT year’s year-end party or create a signature cocktail which is themed to a new company objective. Whatever way you can subtly add a focus on the future into your annual event, you will have begun to set the stage for success.

AN ANNUAL AFFAIR. One of the best things about a year end party is that it is an anniversary, an event which everyone looks forward to and presents some closure to the hard year behind you. You need happy, engaged and inspired employees to reach your goals and implement your vision, so it’s a GOOD THING (as Martha would say) to spoil your team with a regular year-end celebration. The key is that you break the mold on the boring office party routine. Reverse the program putting your awards at the beginning instead of the end. Make the management team the wait staff. Create a trivia quiz using company tidbits from the year and pit your departments against one another to win a prize. Create an improve skit out of “great moments in 2014” or a promotional video ad spoof. You’ll create some great stories and goodwill. The perfect way to sail into 2015!

I gather some feedbacks I received from BPO employees who experienced having their company’s year-end party at The Palace. Here are some of them :
“Surprised to see a venue that brought a different style of clubbing to Manila. It makes sense, given how hot it is in either city. Place is jampacked on Friday and Saturday nights. Cover is expected for this level of nightclub, but if you're an expat or a Fil-Am, it'll seem so much more affordable for the quality of the experience you'll get here.” – Anonymous, Teleperformance Employee

“Dress code is island casual, which is super welcome considering the climate. Prepare to bump elbows with "famous" celebrities and the kids on the richer end of the Metro's youth. All in all, still solid. Probably my favorite place to go to on Fridays in Manila.” – C3 Employee
“Don't give up on the Manila clubbing scene just yet! The Palace has opened its pool club, one that is good for some chill afternoon that can go til the night and the wee hours of the morning, with not much of a "strict" dress code (see my picture). I went with a couple of my friends on the first week it opened and I must say that I enjoyed myself there and the concept is quite cool because though there are clubhouses in Manila, they don't actually allow you to party freely and this late!” – Anonymous.

“One can compare it to an island vibe brought to the city as it opens at 3PM, closes at 2am on weeknights and 5am on weekends. There are two pools with benches and tables on the side -- one must order at least bottle to stay there. Then there are also airconditioned cabanas should you want something more private (and far from getting wet).” Anonymous.

“I really liked the old school mix of music that turns into EDM from time to time. As in all places it's really the company that makes it worth while, so make sure you're with those who are in for some pool fun or just lounging around in the benches. I would definitely come here should I just want to tan! Make sure to bring your own towel if you don't want to pay 200 pesos for one!” – Regular Pool Club Party Goer.

On Being Number One

I have three reasons why I have to write an article about Number One . First, Valkyrie recently celebrated its 1st year Anniversary last November and it was a blast. Two of the most energetic house DJ duo, Sunnery & Ryan Marciano celebrated with them.

Next on my list on "Being Number One" is #ThePalaceManila. Remains on top of the notch when it comes to clubbing and party venue. The Palace Manila which consists of Valkyrie, Pool Club, Cafe Naya' and the newly launched Revel remained the most sought after party venue among the group of college students,  young professionals and executives. If you have not visited The Palace yet, then December is the right time to be there. Don't miss the weekly themed party at Valkyrie, Pool Club and Revel.

But this article will focus on  how it is be like to be "Number One". I had the chance to work with the Number One promoters of The Palace and they are Arvil Cabatic and Pixie Villocero.

I was sub promoting with Arvil early this year and I was so impressed that he is very professional and dedicated when it comes to serving his guests at Valkyrie . No wonder why his guests  keep on coming back at The Palace. He never missed any guestlist request and once you book a table or a couch to him he makes sure that he puts his hands on your accomodation. From waiters, receptionists to bartenders and bouncers you name it . Everybody knows him at Valkyrie. Same with Pixie, the two are good friends from Republic days to Universe now The Palace Manila. Their many years working together evolved them and that made them the Number One Promoter of the Palace.

On Being Number One...

Arvil's ability in creating a buzz for The Palace Manila's event with social media trends is his key to being Number One. "Issue press releases, other promotions and news documentation online, as well as posting hashtags and associated images, sharing posts, and more." Those are the words that he had shared to me as his sub promoter.  Arvil have the potential to show up on trending lists on social media, appearing on the sidebars of every single page of that social media network. This is something to go after for big events, raising the hype and offering deals that can be shared on social media.
During the First Year Anniversary of Valkyrie following the Awesome Halloween Party . Arvil was able to guestlist approximately 90% of the total number of people that celebrated the Anniversary of Valkyrie last November.

Game of Thrones Halloween Event at Valkyrie
That night in the reception area, you will hear the buzz of Arvil Cabatic's name from one corner to another since he was able to bag over 1,000 people to come over Valkyrie and celebrate it's Anniversary. This marked the history among the promoters of Valkyrie and makes him the Number One promoter of Valkyrie from it's inception.

Final word from Arvil Cabatic on being Number One promoter of the Number One Club on it's 1st year. Track What People are Saying About You.
"You have to be responsible for checking up on the buzz, the latest that is surrounding you online. What are people saying? What are they up to? Reinforce the positive comments and look into the negative ones. Respond to them. This will show your guests that you being proactive and taking their input. Work on what needs fixing and politely counter the comments that are untrue. Post about what you’re doing to fix negative aspects. Customers will see your extra effort and reward it. Always work on improving your nightclub."

WHAT MAKES ARVIL AT THE TOP OF HIS GAME?

Immediate access to a reliable network of positive, party-going people

It is basic I should say. People love to go out with Arvil. Because he is fun to be with, very down to earth despite of his achievements. This is a definite description of Arvil that made him a good club promoter and he can manage to bringing up to 100 people even on a weekday.

The right aesthetic
The hottest clubs in the city rely on promoters to bring the right looking crowd into their establishment in order to attract more of the right crowd. Arvil has that image that a club is looking for. Pleasant personality a good party host and can work with confidence even under pressure. I witnessed that while he is accomodating several VIPs, corporate executives in Valkyrie, with their Skybox reservations!!!!
Stamina and patience

He loves to go out and are good to go through 6am most weekends, but mixing work with pleasure as a club promoter can be stressful. You will see Arvil on his phone texting and calling all night, negotiating with his friends and friends of friends to make it out as soon as they can. No matter how demanding the workload can be you will still see him smiling and partying with his guests.

Those are the key to success and to be number one in the most finest club is something that takes a lot of hardwork but I think this is innate to Arvil which makes him stand out of the crowd.

If you need to be guestlisted under Arvil Cabatic and experience how he take care of his guests you may get in touch him at : 09275320273. Or you may also coordinate with me at : 0935-1759272.
