Quintino is back at Valkyrie Manila at The Palace last February 13, 2016. Quintino, is a Dutch DJ and record producer. His music is mostly electro house. His most popular songs include his remix of "Rap das Armas', 'Selecta', 'Go Hard' and 'Fatality'. In 2014 he was named No. 86 in the Top 100 DJs list put out by the DJ Magazine.

Quintino undeniably blazes a feel-good vibe when he stood on the DJ's deck that night.  I, along with many others who have come to expect a top notch performance from the house mastermind, arrived at the show eager to witness an explosive expose of what he delivers best: EPIC levels of high intensity tracks, both novel and seasoned, intelligently assembled flawlessly before our ears. The Dutch-native demonstrated to Manila's jam-packed finest club, Valkyrie that he can change with the times, charging the system with a fascinating array of rock, house, indie, dubstep and everything in between. His imaginative display was EDM at its finest, proving once again that he is as commanding of a performer as he is an EPIC producer.

DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs

DJ Magazine also known as DJ Mag is a British owned monthly magazine. It is created as a dedicated subscription for electronic dance music and DJs. Founded January 31, 1991 and the magazine is translated into various languages including Portugese and Polish.

They annually held an online voting system for the Top 100 clubs all over the Asia Last year The Palace was in the top 75 among it's contender all over Asia considering that The Palace is less than one year in existence last year.

According to wikipedia, the magazine publishes two annual "Top 100" lists, one for DJs since 1991 and one for nightclubs. English DJDanny Rampling was the first winner of this award Smokin Jo is the only female DJ who has won this award (voted by the magazine) and Armin van Buuren currently holds the record of most overall wins with five and a record four consecutively. As of 2010 both polls are based on a public vote. Trackitdown.net formed a collaboration with the 2008 DJ poll, saying "By offering each voter a free track to download from our catalogue of 350,000 titles from over 10,000 labels, we can demonstrate how easy it is to find your favourite electronic music legally." The awards party for the poll has traditionally been hosted at the Ministry of Sound nightclub in London. For the 2011 poll, the event was hosted outside of the UK for the first time in its history, being staged at the 2011's edition of the Amsterdam dance event. The 2012 and 2013 award shows were both held on 19 October at the same event. Until 2002, the top three had consisted of at least one British DJ, since the same year at least one Dutch DJ has featured in the top three.

Cavite's Finest Vape Bar

Cavite is a province in the Philippines located on the southern shores of Manila Bay in the Calabarzon region on Luzon island. It is one of the most industrialized and one of the fastest growing provinces in the country because of its close proximity to Metro Manila, located just 21 kilometers (13 mi) south of the capital.

I have been a resident of this town for over 15 years now but I have not been around specifically Dasmarinas area since my highschool days. Being in the clubbing industry that focuses in Makati , Quezon City and Taguig area. I was surprised that many interesting bars are all over my home town.

Aside from promoting The Palace, Valkyrie and Pool Club. People who follows my blog also know that I organize events and that is the reason why I should be up-to-date when it comes to what interest people nowadays, My job also entails discovering hippie places where people should party or simple chill.

In my adventure of organizing a vape event and trough following various social media groups. I came across this Finest Vape Bar in Cavite. RAVTECHNO VAPE BAR.

What to expect from RAVTECHNO VAPE BAR:

- affordable drinks, they have your favorite beers but not limited to luxurious liquor such as Jack Daniels (I was not able to get a copy of their menu but you may always check out their FB page). 

- cozy place to hang out and socialize

- tons of parking space, secured place
- tons of juice lines to choose from pastry, ry4, menthol and fruity mint






According to Julius Ravara, owner of RAVTECHNO VAPE BAR, they dedicate this lounge/bar to all the Vapers that are restricted from vaping inside various bars. Such a pretty innovative idea I should say.

I have featured Vape events a couple of times I think and according to vapenewsmagazine.com , "the Philippines has now hundreds if not thousand of vape shops nationwide. "

Having a vape bar like RAVTECHNO VAPE BAR is liberating for all the vapers because this is the lifestyle that they have chosen and this will be a haven for them , a place where they can meet and greet people of the same interest.

A lot of vape con has been introduced last year where vapers usually meet. Now Vape bar is selling like hotcakes as well, Hopefully the vaping industry will increase it's demands towards this year.

Trivia about Ladies Night

Have you ever wondered why most clubs celebrate Wednesday as their ladies night? . We are all aware that this is a promotional event for bars and clubs to invite more customers, guests reason why they throw a ladies night once every week.

A ladies' night is a promotional event, often at a bar or nightclub, where female patrons pay less than male patrons for the cover charge or drinks. In the United States, state courts in California, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have ruled that ladies' night discounts are unlawful gender discrimination under state or local statutes. However, courts in Illinois, Minnesota, and Washington have rejected a variety of challenges to such discounts. - Wikipedia.

But have you ever asked yourself? Why Wednesday among all the days of the week? Why does bars and clubs marketing decided to do it every Wednesday. Let's dig deeper about the clubs reason behind their Ladies Night.

I tried to do my research but there's few literature about the history of "Ladies Night" but that did not stop me from looking for the information that I need to know. Because I am really curious about it.


Most of the information I found online is theoretical.

"Ladies' nights make good economic sense for most clubs, because they draw the largest crowds. Women come for the free drinks, and men come for the women." - Sonnet Fitzgerald, Google Plus

While researching I found out that in the US, there was even a time that this "Party-Theme" created a conflict among citizens because some claims that there is a "gender-equality" issue since ladies are getting less charge or even free of charge from their drinks, while men pay the regular price of their drinks.

Maybe this concept of Ladies Night has a simple equation:

Free drinks for women = lots of women AND men come to your bar.

Free drinks for men = lots of men come to your bar.

As the cliche' goes.... The rest is history.
